So, you’ve decided that owning an aquarium would be a nice feature to add to the home. Owning and managing an aquarium can be a bit of a daunting task at first because there are so many variables that need to be taken care of. Not to mention the fact you don’t know what you are doing. This guide is here to help ease the worry by going over some of the basics that every saltwater aquarium needs for proper use.

First, we need to know what kind of fish will be living in the tank. Putting the wrong fish together can be disaster. Some may not make it due to the living conditions, others may get injured while in the tank, and the two different fish may get into constant fights. Usually one fish will eventually not come out from these fights alive. Make sure to know the personality of the species of fish you’re about to place into a tank together. Typically, you’ll want to stay away from sticking aggressive fish with each other.

Next we need to have all the equipment that runs the aquarium. Get a tank that will fit in the space or display area that you have in mind. Make sure it fits wanted area from the start and that there is enough room for the kinds of fish that plan on being in there.

Lighting should be next on the list. Again you’ll need to know some information about the fish. Some species prefer low lighting while others like to swim in a lot of light. Your choice here will also be affect if live plants or reefs are planned to be placed into the tank. Make sure to cover the lighting requirements of everything placed into the saltwater aquarium.

Filters are the next most important. Without a quality filter, bacteria and disease can get out of control in the tank leaving your fish in danger. This also helps clean the water of anything excreted by the fish.

To finish up, there are a few other important items that are needed to properly run a saltwater aquarium. A heater is use to regulate the temperature of the water at the required levels of the fish. Bigger tanks may need more than one of these. As make sure to buy some substrate. This is the stuff commonly seen at the bottom of the aquariums and looks like rocks and pebbles.

Hopefully, this guide will help in the creation of your first saltwater aquarium. Do some research and keep the fish’s needs in mind and everything should go fine.

Breed Standard And History Of White Persian Cats
Persian cats are one of the oldest breeds of cats known to man. Long hair and a snubby face that often leads to some health problems for the breed characterize them. The Persian cat breed is among the most widely recognized due to the characteristics that are present in this particular breed of cat.

There are many color variations of the breed as well as color pattern. There are also some variations of the facial features in some of the Persian cats that range from a snubby nose to a straighter nose. White Persian cats are among the most popular colors sought by buyers and pet seekers.
Background Of Persian Cats
This breed of cat originated in the Iranian plateaus bordering Mesopotamia. Some illustrations also connect the Persian cat with the ancient Pallas cat. An Italian by the name of Pietro Della Valle introduced the breed to European society. The first known written acknowledgement of the Persian cat was in the year 1871 in the annals of the Cat Fanciers Association. White Persian cats were already around during that time.

Standard of the Persian Cat
Persian cats usually come in a variety of colors such as white, blue, black and tortoiseshell. And are generally accepted in any color or any pattern marking as well. Silver, black and white Persian cats top the most sought after colors as pets while other colors are also sought after for show. White Persian cats and others with lighter coloration have a difficult time keeping themselves clean and may need their owner?s help in doing so. Regular bathing, conscientious drying and brushing are among the grooming chores that these longhaired cats need.
The temperament of Persian cats is basically similar to other cats. They are highly independent and need to go out once in a while. Despite their very refined appearance, Persians, especially silver or white Persian cats are very capable of taking care of themselves. They may look fragile but they are very hardy.

Persian cats are coveted because of their beautiful looks. The more popular cats are silver, black and white Persian cats. The coloring of the cats does not affect their temperament or their activity. There are some illnesses or sicknesses that are associated with Persian cats due mainly to their facial structure. Some breeders strive too much to get the blunt faced cats that some selective breeding has turned out deformities in the cats. These deformities contribute to difficulty of breathing and nasal problems.

Obviously their health will be in top form as well as their energy levels so they will be able to perform better to even the way they look. The only thing you will pay a lot more going this route. But no matter what you spend, the way you like to be treated should be the way you treat your animals if not better. When you buy the inexpensive brand you know the saying “you get what you pay for.”
Most veterinarians say these inexpensive brands would compare to taking a piece of cardboard, dipping it in gravy and serving it to your most beloved animal. All this does is it fills their stomachs but it does not give them the nutrition most animals need to thrive.

Once your pet gets use to all the high levels of nutrition and all the good calories to go along with it, they will start to eat less than before. You cannot even begin to count all the long as well as short term benefits when you decide to upgrade. The best quality foods and that is including the much abundant and easy to find if you search “home made dog food″ recipes, these will provide your animal with a healthier and happier disposition in life. Most dogs tend to be allergic to the lower grade ingredients found in cheap dog food.

Once you switch to the higher quality food , you will notice that your dog now tends to scratch less and they will not shed as much as before. A lot of breeds are prone to yeast developing in their ears but if your dog is healthy they will not be prone to this.

Their bodies will be able to heal a lot faster after having surgery, accident or just a simple procedure. Have you ever tried to teach your dog a trick? Without much luck. Think of it like this, lets say your on a diet of garbage do you think after eating this for a while you are able to produce good work. It’s the same for our fury little friends as well.

Changing to a better quality food will help with all these problems. I am the proud owner of a Saint Bernard. I adopted him after a semi truck had struck him, and he walked away with minor scratches. After they put some stitches on him his owner decided to dump him at the nearest shelter since he was not considered a “show quality” dog any more.

When we bought him home we kept him on the same food the shelter had him on. He had a few bare spots on his legs and back area from a rash he acquired at the kennel. So I decided to bring him back to the shelter to see what they would recommend for this rash, they gave me a simple ointment to apply so I did for two weeks with no avail, he even started having loose bowel movement, so I decided to bring him to the vet.

The vet came out and told me that he was not getting enough protein in his diet, so I upgraded to the next expensive brand thinking about a 180 lbs dog would leave me homeless but his rashes got better and a couple of them even went away. But I did not see the best results until I decided to buy him the highest quality food that his demeanor became calmer his itchy ear became under control and his bare spots became fully healed.

Now he has a full shiny and healthy coat and has even gained 50 lbs. I have always believed in that you reap what you sew. Pets need to be on a diet that is even better than ours. Always keep in mind that you buy your pet cheap food you are not only being neglectful but uncaring as well.
